Fletcher Upholstery Studio caters to the Residential sector. We prefer the smaller projects that are heirlooms in the home, but we can handle larger projects depending on your needs. Each piece is handled and scrutinized as if it were our own, so you can be sure to receive a product we’d be happy to showcase in our own home.
Fletcher Upholstery Studio was originally founded in 2010 by Rachel Fletcher Knoxville, Tennessee - Knox Upholstery. Since moving to the Bay Area a name change was required, thus Fletcher Upholstery Studio was born. You can find out more about our history here.

Rachel Fletcher didn't grow up in the trade, she’s self-made. She practiced, cracked open books, watched videos, found a community full of educators, and learned from their expertise - she honed her skills. After obtaining a B.A. in Communications and spending a few years in marketing and advertising, Rachel chose the furniture upholstery trade to dedicate her working life to. “I have a passion for furniture, the environment, and for keeping as much furniture out of the landfill as possible.”
Since getting into the trade she founded the National Upholstery Association and served as the founding President. She is also the Administrator of the Professional Upholsterer’s Network.
Morale Manager & Security Ninja
She’s a rescue. She’s a handful. She’s probably the best dog on the planet. Will you get to meet her? No. She may be a personal morale manager, but she’s also an incredible security pup and will eye you from afar.
